Ground Source Heating
how it works
Unlimited and renewable geothermal energy is stored in your backyard. By using state-of-the-art technology, we can harness this energy to heat and cool your home, creating a geothermal home heating and cooling system. This is called ground source heating and cooling using a water to water heat pump. In Winter, the heat pump extracts the heat from the ground and moves it throughout the home. In Summer, the heat from the home is expelled back into the ground. It’s all based on a hydronic heating and cooling system.

Hydronic Heating & Cooling System
A geothermal heat pump, also known as a ground source heat pump (water to water), operates based on thermodynamics to provide both heating and cooling for a house. It efficiently extracts heat from the ground or water through geothermal boreholes or trenches and transfers it into the building for heating. Conversely, during cooling, it extracts heat from the house and transfers it back to the geothermal loop field.
Among the geothermal heat pump types, water-to-water heat pumps are considered the most efficient. They work by transferring energy from one source to another.Â
The exceptional performance of geothermal heat pumps allows us to greatly amplify the thermal energy produced compared to the electricity consumed. Depending on external conditions and the installation, these systems can generate 4 to 5 kilowatts of thermal energy for every 1 kilowatt of electricity consumed. This remarkable efficiency makes geothermal heat pumps a sustainable and cost-effective heating and cooling solution.
